Surrounded by the Marquette
Interchange, the University and Library Hill, St. James watches over the
downtown neighborhood which was once Milwaukee's western frontier. The
oldest stone church in the city, yet home to the most diverse
congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee. A traditional facade
with an ever-changing face.
At St. James, the hungry of body and spirit are
fed. The people who are St. James, no matter what race, orientation, or
spiritual age, have sought to make Christ present to others through
worship and music, service, and mutual caring for over one and a half
centuries. Making Christ present is our continuing mandate and mission.
We invite you to join us.
